Prior to a fifth metatarsal spiral fracture - I was falling in love with my brand new Alaia booties (and technically still am). I was waiting for the weather to cool down (tight fitting shoes and humid Dubai weather do not mix well) to slip them on and unfortunately - never got the chance! One week after Style.com released a trend flash update for similar styles I broke my foot and soon found out it would be a good six months before I could wear heels again..
Two months in, I'm fighting the urge to slip on these sleek shoes and the never been worn Brian Atwood heels sitting on the top shelf in my closet. I'm trying my best to embrace sandals, ballerina pumps and hightop sneakers. Most girls rely on their shoes to punctuate their look, meanwhile I've had to find other ways to pull my outfits together [enter the statement necklace], but I am getting a bit antsy and have been on the search for a flat shoe that will wow while keeping my unstable, freshly healed, foot secure... and just my luck these beautiful gladiator sandals arrive by recently revived brand Galitzine!
Oh, hello beautiful...
I have yet to try them on and confirm whether or not they are actually suitable for my 5'4" stature, but I am absolutely planning on giving it all I've got to make these beautiful strappy sandals work!
Hopelessly devoted...
