At times I have a tendency to be out-of-sight, out-of-mind. Meanwhile that's happening.. hop on over to my Tumblr for some constant feeds of inspiring pictures and sayings to keep your creative appetite full.

When I'm not there, you can find me on Pinterest where I am constantly replenishing my 30 pin boards full of healthy {and sometimes not so healthy} recipes, style inspirations, interior design ideas, travel destinations and quirky fun bits that are too cool/cute not to pin!

I'm a sporadic Tweeter so, at times you can find me there - but usually I'm posted up on Instagram snapping pictures of my ongoing obsession with coffee and all things fashion and travel - it's hard not to post pictures as if I'm constantly on vacation because, well, living in Dubai pretty much is like being on holiday every day of the week. I know, tough life.

So there you have it, I promise to swing by every so often, but I have a tendency to let my mind and self wander - it's the only way to learn new things!

COLOUR ME HAPPY //

As a kick start to my week, I created a mood board for my closet on Monday to fire up a bit of inspiration. Thankfully I had plenty of old magazines to clip from - now this beauty hangs on my closet wall. {Don't try too hard to dissect, I'm not that deep} These are the colours that are driving me right now; cool blues, kelley greens, pops of red and of course, the inevitable black & white. My own little jewel-tone heaven.

Monday's motivation turned into a Tuesday post... I didn't turn on any tunes today, rather I researched blogs and websites that I have never looked at before in search of some fresh inspiration. When I stumbled upon the above list of 33 ways to stay creative, I realized these ways to kick creativity into high gear are already my go-to routines for keeping my thoughts new and innovative. Nothing is original anymore, rather everything has been done and you just have to find a new way to present this information in a way that captures people's attention and ignites new ideas...

My routine for keeping creative //

:: keep a daily planner in my purse

:: a notebooke and pen available at all times

:: type ideas/titles/sayings in my iPhone 

:: use Pinterest regularly

:: scour other websites for relative content 

:: give myself time to unwind/recharge

:: use breathing exercises 

:: read a book rather than use the computer

:: seek advice from other professionals 

:: always being open to new opportunities

:: when inspired i take advantage and create new looks with 

pieces from my wardrobe i haven't worn in a while or have grown

 tired of instead of trying to shop for new items  - this usually ignites other ideas

:: go to starbucks - seriously, i'm not sure if it's because their coffee + cup make me happy or the souroundings of a comforting place... but starbucks can sometimes do the trick!

#NYFW - OSCAR DE LA RENTA

The weeks just keep moving faster and faster, and while February is already a short month, I can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that it is already Feb 18! It seems like it was only a few days ago that we even started the month - time flies when you're focused on fashion shows, trends and street style snaps which is why it has taken me so long to publish my thoughts on #NYFW. This week's Monday Motivation is made up of mood boosters from Oscar de la Renta's AW13 colour palette, and specifically his nail varnishes. Each equally as stunning as the last, I can't seem to pick my favourite out of the three....

Oscar de la Renta has always fascinated me with his luxurious designs, but his AW13 collection stunned me. Draped necklines, and supple leather caught my eye along with his bold use of colour (ie the pink and purple ball gowns worn by models Karlie Kloss and Magdelena Frackowiak) that closed the show. 

Blue & Oxblood burgundy... why I never, but now I will... 

ODLR at it's finest. #NYFW, I'll take it all, thanks.
